About Komplex Community

Komplex Community provides high-quality, person-centred supported living services across Shropshire and Staffordshire for people aged 13 to 65, both adults and younger people with a range of needs including autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs, self-harm, self-neglect, and behaviours that may challenge. About This Role

Our Young Adults Service is focused on empowering individuals to build brighter, more independent futures. It is designed to support young adults as they transition into adulthood, helping them develop life skills, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes in areas such as education, employment, and wellbeing. Our team delivers consistent, compassionate support tailored to each individual's needs. As a Support Worker, you'll play a key role in helping people develop life skills, confidence, and emotional resilience. No two days are the same - but every day has the power to change someone's life.

Your Role as a Support Worker

You will be part of a hands-on team helping young adults develop practical skills, emotional resilience, and the stability they need for life. Every day brings variety, challenges, and deep purpose - all within a supportive home setting. Your work will make a direct and lasting impact.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting individuals with essential daily tasks such as cooking, personal care, cleaning, and budgeting
  • Encouraging independence and building confidence through meaningful activities and community access
  • Being a calm, reliable presence during difficult times, offering emotional reassurance and structure
  • Promoting routines and relationships that help people feel safe, respected, and included
  • Monitoring and recording progress, recognising and celebrating small wins every day
  • Working regular 12-hour shifts - including waking nights - to provide consistent and high-quality care

What We're Looking For

  • A Full UK (manual) driving licence
  • A minimum of one year's experience working in care or support with young people and adults (desirable)
  • Compassion, resilience, and emotional intelligence
  • Confidence working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge
  • Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping
  • Flexibility to work across services in Shropshire and Staffordshire
  • A team-first attitude and commitment to delivering person-centred care

Additional Information

This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. All criminal convictions, including spent ones, must be declared.
