About Komodo

At Komodo, we never do normal. We’re a global social agency specialising in content and influencer marketing, working with leading brands across hospitality, travel, beauty, fashion and lifestyle. From our offices in London, LA and Sydney, we create social-first campaigns, content and activations that are built to move at the speed of culture. Founded in 2017 by four friends, people and culture sit at the heart of Komodo. We pride ourselves on creating a team environment that is ambitious, creative, collaborative and genuinely passionate about the work we put into the world.

About the Role

This role is for someone who inherently understands social media, knows what makes content perform, and has the hands-on skills to bring ideas to life. You’ll be part social thinker, part content creator, part producer. Someone who can spot a trend, shape an idea, shoot on an iPhone, edit a strong Reel or TikTok, and understand how that content fits into a wider social strategy. You’ll work across a range of client accounts, helping to concept, produce and deliver social-first content across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Meta. You’ll collaborate closely with our social, creative, influencer and production teams, supporting both always-on content and campaign-led shoots. This is a great role for someone who thrives in the world of social, has experience creating content for brands, and wants to sit at the heart of a fast-paced agency environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social-First Content Creation
    • Create engaging, platform-native content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other social platforms.
    • Confidently shoot social content on iPhone, including product, people, event, lifestyle and behind-the-scenes content.
    • Edit short-form video content with a strong understanding of pacing, hooks, captions, transitions, audio and platform trends.
    • Help bring social ideas to life through quick-turnaround edits, trend-led concepts and reactive content opportunities.
  • Creative Concepting
    • Develop original and engaging social content ideas that align with client objectives, brand guidelines and platform behaviours.
    • Work with the wider creative and social teams to turn strategic thinking into clear content ideas and formats.
    • Contribute to campaign concepts, content calendars, pitch decks and creative responses.
    • Bring fresh thinking to client accounts, helping brands show up in a way that feels relevant, distinctive and social-first.
  • Shoot Production
    • Support the planning and delivery of social-first shoots, from pre-production through to content delivery.
    • Help build shot lists, content plans, props lists, schedules and production requirements.
    • Be confident capturing content on shoot days, directing talent where needed and ensuring we capture everything required for the final assets.
    • Work with editors, designers, creators and videographers to make sure content is delivered to a high standard.
  • Social Media Strategy
    • Understand the role of a social media specialist and how content supports wider social strategy, community growth and campaign performance.
    • Stay close to trends, platform updates, creator behaviours and emerging formats across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and wider social platforms.
    • Use your understanding of social performance to shape stronger content ideas and improve creative output.
    • Be able to look at a brand’s social channels and identify what is working, what could improve and where the content opportunities are.
  • Client and Internal Collaboration
    • Work closely with account leads, social managers, strategists, creatives, designers, videographers and influencer teams.
    • Confidently present ideas internally and externally, leading client-facing presentations where needed.
    • Communicate clearly and proactively across projects, making sure timelines, deliverables and feedback are managed smoothly.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years’ experience in a social content, creative production, content creator or social media role.
  • Strong experience creating social-first video content for brands, agencies, publishers or your own channels.
  • A deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Reels, YouTube Shorts and the wider social media landscape.
  • Confidence shooting and editing content, especially short-form video.
  • A strong eye for what makes content feel native to social, rather than overly polished or traditional.
  • Experience working on brand content, campaign content, creator content, events or activations.
  • The ability to concept ideas, plan content and then get hands-on to make them happen.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • A natural interest in culture, trends, creators, brands and what people are actually engaging with online.
  • A collaborative, proactive attitude and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.

What You’ll Get

  • Hybrid working, with Tuesday to Thursday in our London Bridge office and Monday and Friday working from home.
  • 32 days annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays.
  • Annual team away days and regular company socials.
  • Creative bursary and opportunities for learning and development.
  • The chance to work on exciting brands across travel, lifestyle, beauty, hospitality and fashion.
  • Potential opportunities to work on overseas projects across Europe and further afield.
  • A creative, ambitious and supportive team environment where ideas are genuinely encouraged.
  • Salary dependent on experience, between £36,000 - £40,000.
