An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced night strip fitter to join a busy, well-equipped accident repair centre in Witham. This role suits someone confident working in a fast-paced environment, stripping damaged vehicles efficiently and supporting the workshop team to hit turnaround targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strip and remove damaged panels, trims, bumpers, lights, interiors and mechanical components as required.
- Identify additional damage during the strip process and report accurately to estimators/management.
- Organise and label removed parts to support smooth refit and build stages.
- Work closely with panel and paint teams to keep repairs moving efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed to high standards and within manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all site health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a strip fitter / strip and refit technician in an accident repair centre.
- Confident working on a variety of makes and models.
- Ability to work independently on night shift with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management.
- Full UK driving licence.
