We are offering both full & part-time contracts and flexibility, but the role does entail late nights and weekends, in line with the operational timings.

The House of KOKO is growing our Kitchen Brigade and we're looking for passionate, experienced Chef de Parties to join us. Our unique members' club and venue brings together three restaurants and eight bars, each designed to deliver a distinct and memorable dining experience.

As a Chef de Partie, you'll take ownership of your section, working closely with the Sous & Head Chefs to deliver exceptional dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients. You'll play a key role in ensuring consistency, creativity, and quality across our menus, while maintaining a well-organised and efficient kitchen. Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute food preparation tasks to the standards established by the head chef, ensuring that all dishes are consistently produced with precision and attention to detail.
  • Cook and present dishes using seasonal ingredients, showcasing skills and ability for follow guidance to ensure exceptional results.
  • Manage your time effectively and stay calm under pressure while fostering a positive and enjoyable work environment.
  • Manage day-to-day operations: Oversee the smooth running of your section, including organising workstations, coordinating with other team members, and ensuring efficient workflow throughout service periods.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, uphold standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including regular cleaning of work areas, equipment, and utensils, in accordance with established protocols.
  • Present finished dishes to the pass, following plating guidelines and ensuring presentation that meets the expectations of both customers and management.
  • Support management in training and guiding junior members of the team, and assist in onboarding of new joiners.
  • Continuously learn and understand the current seasonal menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation techniques, to provide informed recommendations and deliver consistent quality.
  • Minimise food waste by controlling portions and practicing proper storage and rotation.
  • Ensure that back storage areas, such as dry stores and fridges, are kept clean, organized, and stocked appropriately, promoting efficiency and ease of access.
  • Adhere to cleaning schedules, ensuring that all areas of the kitchen are thoroughly and systematically cleaned, and maintaining accurate documentation.

About you

  • We are looking for a skilled and motivated addition to the team with previous experience of working as a Chef de Partie, with the following key attributes:
  • Strong cooking skills, attention to detail and a passion for consistently serving high-quality dishes.
  • Ability to handle and excel in a fast-paced kitchen environment, staying positive and working well with the team.
  • Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards, and a strong commitment to following them.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and prioritising effectively.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, able to work well with colleagues at all levels.
  • Availability to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
