Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates is seeking to recruit a well-rounded Architectural Designer to work in its central London office. The successful applicant will be a good team player, have excellent communication skills and display initiative. Working in collaboration with your project team, you will be assisting in technical and design aspects of an assigned project, including preparation of architectural drawings, 3D modelling and updating and amending of architectural drawings where necessary after review with senior designers. You will work under the supervision of an Architect, Project Manager and/or a Design Principal. You will ensure that all designs are in accordance with quality standards and statutory regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Requires a RIBA Part 2 qualification or equivalent in Architecture, Architectural Design or a closely related field, and previous experience of working within an architectural practice at RIBA Part 1 level.
- Previous experience of working on all design phases in a variety of projects including office, residential and educational buildings and master plans, ideal, but not essential.
- Skills in 2D and 3D software such as Autocad, Revit, or Rhino. Further computational or rendering software skills are advantageous.
- Intermediate to Advanced use of Adobe Creative Suite Software.
- Strong English language skills in both a spoken and written context is essential.
- Must be able to work as part of a team, yet also able to work on own initiative and make professional judgements.
Work Environment
This position requires you to be in person in our London office 5 days per week, 9am – 6pm.
