Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates is seeking an Architectural Intern to work in its central London office to contribute to the development of design solutions under the supervision of the senior architects.

  • Roles Available:
    • Architectural Intern (12-Month Fixed Term)
    • Architectural Intern (Summer)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contribute in a creative and constructive way to the development of design solutions
  • Assist design team in design process by performing sketching, drawing, modelling, and other required tasks
  • Prepare drawings and models for presentations
  • Calculate area and volumes
  • Contribute to team effort with a spirit of cooperation with team leaders and peers
  • Perform drawing and presentation work using 2D and 3D software or other media as required within established time frames
  • Strive to improve drawings and sketching skills
  • Research technical systems and solutions appropriate to project assignment
  • Follow directions positively and thoroughly
  • Ask questions to ensure that assigned tasks are mutually understood

Qualifications:

  • For a year-long internship; RIBA Part 1 qualification or equivalent in Architecture, Architectural Design or a closely related field.
  • For a summer internship; completion of 2nd year of undergraduate studies
  • Experience in Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, D5, Adobe Suite and MS Office preferred.

Work Environment:

This position requires you to be in person in our London office 5 days per week, 9am - 6pm.
