The Kohler EMEA IT function partners with a diverse portfolio of businesses across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as well as Kohler’s Global Product Innovation (GPI) teams. The EMEA IT team is responsible for delivering business-facing technology solutions, supporting day-to-day operations, and driving digital and technology-enabled transformation across a complex and varied landscape of markets, functions, and brands.
Within EMEA IT, Senior Business Analysts (SBAs) act as an interface between the business and IT during all stages of the project lifecycle, strengthening our ability to identify, shape, and deliver high-impact projects and solutions. The SBA is critical in driving practical outcomes and building foundational capability within our businesses. The SBA will work in a matrixed way – partnering with other Project & Programme Managers, as well as central platform teams to drive their projects forward. The SBA role also plays a key role within EMEA IT, working across our teams to continually develop and improve BA standards and outputs.
Role Purpose
As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll be instrumental in driving business change, partnering with stakeholders to identify opportunities, define requirements, and deliver impactful solutions. You'll lead analysis activities across complex projects, from discovery through to delivery, while mentoring other Business Analysts and promoting best practice. Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll influence decision-making, challenge thinking, and champion continuous improvement. Working closely with Solution and Functional Architects, you'll help shape innovative business and technology solutions that deliver real value, while fostering a collaborative and high-performing analysis community.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to identify, define, and document business needs and objectives.
- Utilise domain experience and expertise to enable businesses to maximize the benefits of existing system capabilities.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the business, acting as a key point of contact and conduit into the wider IT organisation.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify and bring high-level definition to new project demand and initiatives.
- Lead and manage complex analysis projects and initiatives, including defining BA approaches, resource needs, inputs required and outputs to be delivered.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of Business Analysts and Junior Business Analysts.
- Review and ensure the quality of analysis and documentation produced by other BAs.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to Business Analysts and Junior Business Analysts.
- Collaborate with Solution and Functional Architects to assess feasibility and shape appropriate solutions.
- Support the development of business cases and impact assessments.
- Create process models, workflows, and use cases to support understanding and alignment.
- Participate in solution validation activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Provide training and support to end-users during and after implementation.
Skills/Requirements
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Domain Experience in Supply Chain and Logistics, including experience with SAP (or equivalent).
- Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or JIRA.
- Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation.
- Understanding of business process modeling (e.g., BPMN).
- Expertise in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a business analysis or similar role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry-specific knowledge (e.g., finance, healthcare, retail).
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with architects and developers.
- Familiarity with CRM, ERP, or enterprise platforms.
- Change management or project coordination experience.
- Professional certifications from IIBA (e.g., ECBA, CCBA, CBAP) or BCS (e.g., BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis).
