About The Role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Content and Social Media Manager to join our Marketing team here at the Old Course Hotel. In this role you will manage our social media platforms and create compelling content giving personality and consistency across all channels.

We are looking for someone who knows how to tell a compelling story – whether it’s through a well-timed Instagram Reel, a scroll-stopping LinkedIn post, or an immersive brand newsletter. You will have an eye for detail, a playful yet strategic approach, and a deep understanding of what makes content resonate across different platforms. If you thrive on turning ideas into shareable moments, crafting narratives that spark conversation, and pushing boundaries, this role is for you.

Social Media

  • Manage the day‑to‑day running of all social media channels, including planning, scheduling and publishing content
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with marketing priorities, campaigns and events
  • Actively engage with our online community by responding to comments and messages in a timely, considered way
  • Monitor performance and provide insights to help optimise content and improve engagement

Content Creation & Copywriting

  • Write high‑quality copy for use across the website, email newsletters, digital and print collateral
  • Ensure all content reflects brand tone of voice and supports wider marketing objectives
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team to support campaigns, launches and promotions

Content Capture & Photoshoots

  • Confidently capture your own content when needed, including photography and short‑form video, using mobile and/or camera equipment
  • Support the planning and delivery of photoshoots, shot lists, on‑site support and asset management
  • Work with internal teams and external partners (photographers, videographers, freelancers) to deliver strong visual content

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with multiple departments across the resort to source content, gather information and bring stories to life
  • Build strong working relationships to ensure content is accurate, timely and aligned with business needs
  • Manage feedback and approvals efficiently while maintaining creative integrity

To be successful in this role you will have the following qualities and experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in a content, social media or digital marketing role
  • Strong copywriting skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident capturing photo and video content for social media
  • In‑depth understanding of key social media platforms and best practice
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Confident communicator who is comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders

Desirable

  • Experience supporting or leading photoshoots
  • Basic editing skills (e.g. Canva, Adobe, or similar tools)
  • Experience within hospitality, lifestyle, travel or luxury brands

Hours

Permanent full Time, 40hrs per week

Salary

£32,000 - £35,000 per annum
