About The Role
With the exciting launch of our newest outlet at the Old Course Hotel, we are looking for a supervisor to join our team to offer a welcoming neighbourhood coffee experience built on great coffee, genuine connections and outstanding service. This is a unique opportunity for you to be a part of the opening team, helping to shape the culture, service style and guest experience from day one. In this role you will support your team to deliver warm, attentive and efficient service ensuring every guest feels genuinely welcomed, whether stopping by for a quick takeaway or spending time enjoying the space. This is a hands-on, energetic role that values teamwork and attention to uphold our commitment to excellent coffee, and even better service to build strong customer loyalty and ensure the café becomes a much-loved addition to the Old Course Hotel experience.
Responsibilities
- Take orders, serve food and beverage to the customers.
- Collect food items from kitchen before opening and store it safely following the health and safety guidelines.
- Assist the Café Manager with sales tracking, reporting, and cost control.
- Support implementation of seasonal menus and special events to boost the sales.
- Ensure POS accuracy and cash handling procedures are followed.
- Ensure all products are date tagged, discard items which are out of date and process wastage.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout the day.
- Handle guest feedback with professionalism and discretion.
- Act as the primary point of contact on shift, ensuring smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
- Supervise front-of-house team members during shifts, ensuring roles are clearly executed.
- Assist with onboarding and on-the-job coaching of new team members to ensure service standards are met.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders.
- Report any maintenance issues and get it solved as soon as possible.
- Responsible for all equipment, stock and linen are always up to the required levels to meet business needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment.
- Operational knowledge of ordering and stock rotation.
- Skilled Barista with experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills with a focus on great Customer Service.
- Good knowledge about food and safety laws and best practices.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude.
- Takes pride in personal appearance and hygiene, great grooming.
- Self-motivated and able to use own initiative.
Hours
Permanent Full Time 40hrs
Salary £29,176.19 + TRONC
