Location: Onsite – Melton, North Ferriby, Hull

Salary and Benefits: £27,400, plus 9% Shift Premium, plus pension, life assurance, cycle to work, EV leasing, and staff discounts.

This role places you at our manufacturing facility in Hull, working as a Production Operative manufacturing shower trays. You will operate the vacuum forming and trays production lines, inspect manufactured material, and maintain housekeeping to required standards. Potential progression to supervisory/leadership positions is available for those who demonstrate the desire.

Shift: 37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday, on a rotating 2-shift base:

  • Week 1: Mon–Thurs 6.00am – 2.30pm. Fri: 6.00am – 10:50am.
  • Week 2: Mon–Thurs 2.30pm – 12.10am.

Basic Function

Much of your time will be spent operating various machines to manufacture shower trays. Producing various types of products, checking against quality specifications, having good attention to detail is key to our success. Some basic IT knowledge will be required for entering data into manufacturing software. Moving raw materials and finished goods around production areas and warehousing on reach and flexi-trucks. Loading and operating numerous different types of machines including vacuum forming, casting, packaging equipment and use of some hand tools. Some manual handling activities. Interacting in shift handover meetings to discuss shift duties. Willing to undertake additional training when required. Ensuring workspaces are clean and tidy. Be part of continuous improvement activities, contributing ideas to improve our factory.

  • Reach and flexi-truck license holder preferred.
  • Ability to learn new skills and duties quickly.
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude to work and show the willingness to learn and progress.
  • Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
