Role Summary
A production leadership role, reporting into the Production Supervisor, with shared accountability for building a high performing, continuous improvement culture. You will be focused on ensuring an efficient operation in achieving business targets, provide leadership to the team, coordinating their workload and giving support to ensure they deliver their goals. You will focus on achieving excellent quality products through effective coaching and training of all associates within your Production line. You will also monitor issues and ensure production targets are met in line with business KPIs, working together as a team to comply with quality standards and deliver production plans to meet customer needs, whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure people and resources are utilised in an efficient manner to meet delivery requirements.
- Adhere to company safety rules and procedures.
- Responsible for Safety, Quality, Delivery and HPPP (hours produced per person) performance.
- Ensure the line is ready for shift start up.
- Manage Line Stop & Andon decision points.
- Champion root cause fixes for all problems for areas of responsibility.
- Immediate escalation of issues or plan failure.
- Accountable for ‘First Off’ & ‘Last Off’ checks for the line.
- Manage and rectify non-conforming products.
- Coach and support the team.
- Maintain line 5S standard.
- Create and implement Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and support the team in working to the standard.
