Scope of the role

  • Prototype, plan tests, analyse results and iterate.
  • Support DFM and tolerance discussions with suppliers.

Key skills and experience required

  • Proven project work as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Design Engineer.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.
  • SolidWorks proficiency, sound drawings practice, and tolerance stacks.
  • DFM for injection moulding; exposure to FEA and hand calculations.

Salary and benefits

  • £35,000–£40,000 basic salary.
  • Paid overtime and flexitime around core hours 10:00–15:00.
  • 22 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 25.5% employer pension contribution.
