This Mechanical Design Engineer will turn strong product concepts into manufacture-ready engineering output. You will sit close to design, supply chain, and manufacturing, helping the business deliver a key connected product with more rigour and speed.
- Translate concepts into production-ready mechanical designs and engineering specifications
- Lead DFM decisions across housings, materials, tooling, and manufacturing constraints
- Own CAD models and drawings in Siemens NX to manufacturing standard
- Work with China-based manufacturing partners to resolve build and quality issues
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or Design Engineering
- ~5+ years as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Product Design Engineer, or Design Engineer
- ~ Proven experience taking products from concept through tooling into manufacture
- ~ Strong DFM knowledge across injection moulding, plastics, and manufacturing processes
- ~ Experience integrating electronics mechanically, including PCB mounting, wiring, and thermal considerations
