As a Senior Design Engineer based in Staffordshire (hybrid, two days on site), you’ll guide concepts into robust, manufacturable products for a well-known UK brand. Expect supplier exposure, meaningful ownership, and travel when it counts.

You’ll add technical judgement early, then own delivery through manufacture. You’ll work with industrial design, suppliers, and stakeholders to reduce risk and move faster.

  • Assess feasibility, trade-offs, risk, and delivery routes.
  • Produce CAD, drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
  • Apply DFM across plastics, metals, and assemblies.

Proven experience as a Senior Design Engineer, Product Design Engineer, or Mechanical Design Engineer on physical consumer products. Strong DFM judgement, cost/quality trade-offs, supplier collaboration. Comfortable with ambiguity and field insight when useful.

Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 basic salary, depending on experience.

Hybrid working: minimum two days per week in Tamworth.

UK and international supplier travel when needed.
