Candidates for this role should possess strong regulatory reporting knowledge, critical thinking, communication and technology skills, and the ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, solve problems, and help implement solutions. Candidates should also be detail‑oriented, proactive, self‑motivated, willing to drive change, and develop a deep understanding of the businesses they support in a fast‑paced organization while maintaining integrity and ensuring compliance. Office based role in London, 5 days a week.

The Regulatory Reporting Lead works closely with accounting, contracts, credit, IT, legal, and compliance professionals within Koch Trading, as well as with other Koch‑affiliated companies. The individual will lead the effort to ensure that the business meets its regulatory reporting requirements. The Lead takes an active role in efficiently producing financial trade reconciliations and reports that are fully compliant with regulations such as UK EMIR and MIFID and that meet internal reporting and record‑keeping standards.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the effort of ensuring the business is compliant with financial regulations through cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Proactively monitor and communicate new developments and changes to reporting requirements, amending reporting as necessary.
  • Coordinate with Compliance and Middle Office on regulatory reporting.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the supported businesses.
  • Collaborate with a diverse business team to drive transformation and partner with commercial teams.
  • Prepare and submit various financial trade reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Understand and identify opportunities for improvement, develop recommendations, and implement solutions to upstream and downstream processes.
  • Share knowledge across the business and adhere to Koch’s Principle Based Management philosophy.
  • Exercise full compliance with Koch’s Trading Standards and constantly work to strengthen Koch’s control environment.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Strong regulatory reporting experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Technology aptitude and desire to embrace new tools and technologies.
  • Hands‑on capability to get into details.
  • Team‑oriented.
  • Willingness to succeed in a fast‑paced, dynamic trading environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a similar degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and the ability to manage data.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Several years of experience in Financial Regulatory roles with an understanding of global financial regulations including MiFID II, UK EMIR, FMIA, REMIT.
  • Knowledge of commodity trading and trading fundamentals.
  • Skilled in writing and editing SQL queries.

Other Conditions
