Our Team Koch Minerals & Trading (KMT) is seeking a contribution‑minded Finance Analyst to join our Finance, Accounting and Risk organization, supporting our London business.
What You Will Do- Business Partnership
- Build strong working relationships with commercial leaders and key business stakeholders.
- Partner regularly with Finance, Accounting, Risk, IT, and Compliance teams to support business objectives.
- Develop an understanding of business strategies, financial drivers, and evolving priorities.
- Analyze financial and operational risks, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
- Financial Analysis, Reporting & Controls
- Prepare and analyze daily, monthly, and quarterly financial results, clearly explaining key drivers and variances.
- Support financial forecasting, performance monitoring, and profitability analysis.
- Ensure robust financial controls and data integrity across reporting and analysis processes.
- Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
- Use strong analytical skills and attention to detail to interpret and communicate complex financial information.
- Process Improvement & Transformation
- Identify, recommend, and implement scalable process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
- Support projects related to business growth, new initiatives, system enhancements, or broader finance transformation enabled finance solutions.
- Contribute to the development of sustainable, technology‑enabled finance solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Professional experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Analysis, or related roles.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office / Office 365, including Excel (data manipulation, pivot tables, formulas, and analysis) & Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience in business or commercial finance environments.
- Advanced Excel skills, including working with large datasets, complex formulas, models, and visualizations.
- Visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx).
- Experience working with financial systems or ERP/EPM tools.
- Process improvement, transformation, or system implementation experience.
