As Project QA/QC Leader, you will lead and develop the project quality team, ensuring all quality activities and deliverables meet company, project, and industry standards while driving continuous and effective collaboration.
What You Will Do
- Lead, manage, and develop the project quality team by defining and communicating a clear vision, creating an empowering environment that supports professional growth, and driving accountability through clear expectation setting and performance management.
- Identify resource and skills gaps within the quality team and develop plans to address them, ensuring the team is fully equipped to meet quality objectives.
- Collaborate with the QA Manager and project leadership to develop and implement quality management systems (QMS) and KPIs that improve efficiency and meet company and project quality targets.
- Interpret company, project, and industry-specific requirements, engineering drawings, and material specifications to develop, manage, and execute the project Quality Plan.
- Develop and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for equipment, vendors, and sub-suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Prepare, review, and verify quality documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company, project, and industry standards.
- Liaise proactively with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and subcontractors, to resolve quality queries, ensure quality expectations are understood, and meet project requirements.
- Lead or participate in quality meetings such as Pre-Inspection Meetings, facilitating alignment across project teams.
- Identify, document, and manage non-conformances, leading corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives to ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct quality inspections and audits in line with ITPs, including incoming material inspections, welding inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), and final inspections and documentation reviews.
- Manage, organize, and maintain all quality-related documents, including inspection reports, certificates, and compliance records, ensuring traceability and audit readiness.
- Coordinate interfaces with project partners and supply chain entities to ensure seamless quality integration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support project progress meetings, risk and cost reviews, multidisciplinary coordination, and contract action closure to uphold project quality objectives.
- Provide regular updates and reports on quality performance and delivery to operational management.
- Rigorously challenge project scope regarding quality aspects to prevent scope creep and protect project quality objectives.
- Identify, mitigate, and elevate key quality-related risks promptly to maintain compliance and project integrity.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory, safety, and quality standards, both internal and external, fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Degree or HND/HNC in related Engineering field.
- Proven leadership and team management experience in quality assurance and control within industrial projects.
- Proven track record in QA/QC roles on oil & gas or heavy engineered projects.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of industry standards such as ASME, ASTM, API, ISO, NACE, and AWS.
- Proficiency with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods including ultrasonic, radiographic, and dye penetrant techniques.
- Experience in welding metallurgy is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Proven problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, safety-critical environments.

- Experience leading quality teams on large-scale, complex industrial projects.
