Kobre & Kim consistently seeks exceptional candidates with the talent to deliver outstanding service that anticipates client needs.

Position Details :

Kobre & Kim is looking for a qualified Solicitor to join our London office. You will be working on high-stakes matters with a cross-border element. The ideal candidate is focused on “breaking the traditional lawyering mold” by using deep knowledge and cutting-edge techniques to get to the heart of solving the client’s real problem.

By joining us, you will become part of a global firm of exceptionally talented lawyers working with some of the highest-profile clients on their most sensitive, complex and reputation-threatening disputes. Our highly regarded global team works on offensive and defensive cross-border litigation and crisis management strategies for ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs) with global business interests to preserve their assets, liberty and reputation.

We have a proven track record of coordinating multi-jurisdictional offensive, counter-offensive and defensive strategies on behalf of international private clients in anticipation, or as a result of, high-stakes civil and criminal proceedings and investigations. Our multidimensional approach to UHNWI disputes, which includes the deployment of both in-court and out-of-court strategies, is the premier solution for helping businesses and successful individuals to understand and deal with the reputational and privacy issues that have the potential to put them in the spotlight, particularly in matters arising from high-profile cross-border investigations, complex civil and commercial litigation, white-collar crime, asset forfeiture defense and the publication of INTERPOL Red Notices.

We offer integrated strategic counsel in situations involving a mix of civil, criminal and regulatory issues, and develop strategies that exploit both the pitfalls and opportunities that arise in these parallel actions. Such complex matters often require diverse services and regions of focus. Our international private client team is comprised of both former U.S. government lawyers and commercial litigators; and we regularly counsel UHNWIs in matters involving combinations of trusts and estates counsel, joint venture disputes, financial disputes, contentious insolvencies, international asset tracing and recovery initiatives, investigations and enforcement actions, among other areas.

Requirements

  • 3-6 PQE
  • England and Wales qualified
  • Strong reputation/defamation/media litigation background with experience in pre and post-publication work
  • Experience with high net worth or private clients
  • Experience of working on strategies with PR firms would be highly beneficial
  • Robust writing, drafting and editing skills
  • You will be expected to work in the office three days a week
