This is a full-time position for a highly motivated individual with a passion for cosmetic formulation development and minimum 2 years of bench experience to join our existing team of chemists. Make-up and sun care formulation experience is a plus. The right candidate will be adaptable, able to work at pace, curious and with a keen eye for detail. The position will provide plenty of opportunity for contact, discussion and co-operation with various stakeholders of the business, both internally and externally.
Minimum Qualifications
- Educated to BSc level in Chemistry, Biology or Physics and/or SCS diploma
- Proficient in Office programs
- Minimum 2 years of cosmetic bench experience
Job Description
- Working on and creating formulations to demonstrate the benefits of using Kobo raw materials, including evaluating stability
- Evaluating new raw materials, preparing reports and presentations for internal/external use
- Enter all formulations, process and stability info into Kobo system
- Prepare formula samples for trade shows and customer events and for use of the sales team
- Participate in customer training workshops and events
- Participate in trade shows (international), customer visits, webinars, social media content and podcasts as required
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the lab and equipment, calibrating equipment
- Source and order raw materials and packaging, manage inventory
