About The Role

Join Our Dynamic Health and Safety Team at IPL Inchture. We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an SHE & Compliance Advisor to become a vital part of our onsite Health and Safety Team at our Potato packing facility in Inchture. If you are passionate about Health & Safety and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you!

Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Location: IPL Inchture - this is a site-based role
  • Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct SHE audits to ensure KPIs set with key stakeholders are maintained, adhering to both internal and external metrics and full compliance.
  • Present findings and recommendations for improvements and any necessary changes to procedures or legislation.
  • Ensure IPL maintains full accreditations to both internal and external Health & Safety standards.
  • Support the Senior Operations Manager with clear strategies to communicate to key stakeholders, driving continuous improvement towards 'world‑class' standards.
  • Maintain database entries for all accidents and near misses.
  • Implement and coordinate initiatives that reduce the risk of accidents and incidents through effective communications, campaigns, and best practices.
  • Maintain and update site‑specific Health & Safety policies and procedures, and communicate these to key stakeholders.
  • Support the First Aid provision for the site, ensuring legal requirements for cover and training are met.
  • Ensure all key stakeholders are appropriately trained to conduct accident investigations.
  • Assist stakeholders in accident investigations and lead investigations in high‑potential incidents/accidents.
  • Provide consultative information and advice on SHE safety to all key stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience within the food industry & a Health and Safety / compliance background.
  • Have a good understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbally, and has the ability to engage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Able to organise and prioritise own workload.
  • NEBOSH qualified (Desirable).
  • First Aid Trained (Desirable).
  • HACCP for food manufacturing trained (Desirable).
