About The Role

Join Our Dynamic Onsite Production Team at Kober. We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative to become a vital part of our onsite Production Team at our bacon slicing and packing facility in Cleckheaton. If you are passionate about Production and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you!

Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, rotating morning and afternoon shifts between 6:30am and 10:30pm
  • Location: Kober, Cleckheaton – Site Based Role
  • Contract Type: Permanent

Please note that Kober operates as a high–care, chilled meat processing facility specialising in the production and packing of bacon.

Key Responsibilities

As a Production Operative, you will play a vital part in our day-to-day operations, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work within a high care chilled environment, handling food products, operating machinery, and adhering to strict hygiene and safety procedures. You will ensure products are correctly packed and labelled to target in line with company and customer expectations, and report any defects or poor quality to a Line Leader. You will correctly pack finished goods safely, to specification standards and in the correct orientation within each box, and safely stack boxes to a required height.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience of working in a fast‑paced environment is essential; experience within a food production or chilled environment background is desirable.
  • Good practical skills, ability to work quickly and methodically, work within a team, and concentrate while doing repetitive tasks and following instructions.
  • Can-do attitude, proactive approach, understanding of health and safety policies, and entry-level written and spoken English.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Willingness to work in a chilled environment (protective clothing provided).
