We’re looking for a Reward Analyst with a passion for data, people, and purpose. This is a unique opportunity to join our London-based People team temporarily (6 months maternity cover) and help shape how we reward, recognise and retain talent across Kobalt. You’ll dive deep into data to uncover insights that drive real impact — supporting everything from salary and bonus cycle planning to benchmarking and translating data into comprehensive stories that support strategic decision-making. Working closely with the Head of Reward, you’ll help ensure our pay and benefits are competitive, fair, and aligned with what matters most to our people. If you love turning numbers into stories, solving complex puzzles, and influencing big decisions, you’ll feel right at home here. You’ll collaborate with passionate teams, work across global functions, and help us keep Kobalt a place where great work is recognised and rewarded. This is more than a data role — it’s a chance to shape how people experience value at work, in a company that values creativity, innovation, and inclusion.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Support the planning and delivery of the annual compensation cycle, contributing to salary review analysis and modelling, bonus calculations, and financial forecasting.
- Conduct detailed analysis of internal pay data and external market benchmarking to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Assist in managing benefits administration, vendor relationships, and some support in renewal processes.
- Contribute to the development and communication of reward policies and procedures.
- Support with grading and benchmarking of roles across the organisation.
- Partner with HR and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment across systems.
- Prepare management reports and presentations on compensation trends, metrics, and outcomes.
- Prepare and submit required government filings, including EEO-1, CA Pay Data Reporting, and other statutory reports.
- Manage participation in annual and ad hoc compensation and benefits surveys (e.g., Mercer, Croner) to ensure accurate and timely data submission.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience (e.g. 2-3 years) in reward, compensation & benefits, or HR analytics.
- Experience supporting reward projects such as annual bonus cycles, pay structure reviews, or benefits harmonisation.
- Previous experience in a reward, compensation, or HR analytics role.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with proficiency in Google Sheets (advanced level desirable).
- Experience working with HR data, benchmarking tools (e.g., Willis Towers Watson or Mercer).
- Strong ability to build presentations with complex data and turn that into clear, meaningful stories.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and tight deadlines.
- At busier times, we’ll need a bit of extra flexibility — there may be occasions when work extends beyond regular hours.
Desirable Criteria:
- Professional certification: CIPD, WorldatWork, or equivalent HR/reward qualification.
- Experience using HR or Reward systems (e.g., Sage, Workday, SAP).
- Knowledge or experience of US benefits and pensions, including 401(k) plans, health and welfare benefits, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly to both HR and business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) would be advantageous.
