KO2 is partnered with an innovative engineering company in Stockport who are seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their growing team. Our client has an excellent reputation for supplying quality design work for over 20 years. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the challenge of working throughout the full cycle on a variety of projects, from initial concept and design through to testing and delivery.
The Role
- Design and develop a range of electronic systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in existing designs through root cause analysis.
- Produce detailed schematics and PCB layouts using OrCad and other CAD tools.
- Work with microprocessors, digital ICs, and FPGA devices (Altera Quartus).
- Embedded C programming at firmware level.
- Perform signal processing tasks to enhance product performance.
- Debug and validate designs to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electronics with mechanical systems.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute recommendations for improvement.
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For
- Competence in CAD design tools (OrCad, Altium or similar).
- Strong understanding of electronics engineering principles.
- Knowledge of FPGA technology.
- Familiarity with ARM‑based embedded systems (advantageous).
- Hands‑on experience with debugging tools and techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and complex schematics.
