KO2 is partnering with an innovative engineering business in Daresbury that is looking to appoint a Senior Electronic Engineer to play a pivotal role in the design and development of next-generation electronic products. This is a senior, hands-on position offering both technical leadership and real influence over product direction.
The Role
As a Senior Electronic Engineer, you will lead complex electronic design activities from concept through to production. You’ll work closely with software, mechanical, and project teams, while also providing mentoring and technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and validation of analogue and digital electronic circuits and systems
- Produce high-quality schematics, PCB designs, and supporting technical documentation
- Manage product lifecycle activities including prototyping, testing, verification, and certification
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and to specification
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure designs meet EMC, regulatory, quality, and safety standards
About You
- Strong background in analogue and digital circuit design
- Experience using PCB and schematic tools such as Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, and SPICE-based simulation tools
- Solid understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and common communication interfaces
- Good working knowledge of EMC design principles and regulatory compliance
- A proactive, hands-on engineer with strong problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to lead and influence technically
