Salary: Up to £70,000 DOE

KO2 is working exclusively with a technology-driven client based in Bradford who are looking to strengthen their engineering team with an experienced RF Electronics Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-performance RF designs used in cutting-edge electronic systems. The successful candidate will be joining a medium sized, multidisciplinary engineering team and join at an exciting time as our client has several new projects due to kick off in early 2026.

The Role

As an RF Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, simulation, testing, and validation of RF circuits and subsystems operating across 6GHz to 18GHz. You’ll play a key role in taking concepts from initial architecture through to production, working closely with PCB layout engineers, system engineers, and external test houses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, analyse, and optimise RF circuits and subsystems including LNAs, PAs, mixers, filters, oscillators, and synthesisers
  • Develop RF front-end architectures and contribute to system-level design decisions
  • Perform RF simulation and modelling using industry-standard tools such as Keysight ADS, AWR Microwave Office, CST, and HFSS
  • Conduct S-parameter analysis, tolerance analysis, and design for manufacturability
  • Create and execute RF test plans, verification procedures, and acceptance testing
  • Troubleshoot complex RF issues at component, PCB, and system level
  • Correlate lab measurements with simulation results and drive design improvements
  • Support EMC, EMI, and RF compliance, certification testing, and regulatory engagement
  • Collaborate closely with PCB layout engineers on controlled impedance routing, grounding, shielding, and stack-up selection
  • Integrate RF hardware into larger mixed-signal and digital systems
  • Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to design and architecture reviews
