The Role
We are seeking a skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our client\’s growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking company where you will contribute to the full product lifecycle – from concept and design through to testing and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop power electronic circuits and systems for drive applications.
Contribute to the specification, simulation, and validation of power electronic designs.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including hardware, software, and mechanical engineers.
Support prototype development, testing, and fault-finding.
Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety, and compliance requirements.
Provide technical expertise across projects to deliver robust and innovative solutions.Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience in power electronics design, ideally for motor drives or similar applications.
Strong knowledge of inverter and converter topologies.
Experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with testing and validation of power electronic hardware.
Good understanding of EMC, thermal management, and reliability considerations.
Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.Why Join?
