The Role

This is a hands-on electronics design position, ideal for an engineer who enjoys taking designs from initial concept through to prototype, validation, and production. You'll work within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with embedded software, mechanical, and production engineers to deliver cutting-edge electronic systems for real-world industrial applications. The role is fully on-site in Nottingham, giving you access to extensive lab facilities, test equipment, and a collaborative technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and simulate hardware to achieve high first-pass success rates on new designs.
  • Develop and manage complex electronic systems, including schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout (typically 2-8 layers, mixed-signal).
  • Work across a wide range of technologies, including MCU/MPU, RF systems, DC-DC and AC-DC power, analog sensors, digital logic, FPGAs, and memory devices.
  • Validate, test, and debug designs using lab tools; travel to external test facilities when required.
  • Apply DFT, DFM, and DFP principles throughout the design process.
