Contract Technical Project Manager - Hardware & Embedded Software - BelfastRate: Up to £65 per hour, outside IR35Location: Belfast - Hybrid workingContract Length : 6 months initially, with strong potential to extendStart Date: ASAPTechnical Project Manager / Technical Program Manager required for a 6 month contract, working for a global electronics business operating in automotive electronic devices and electrification, based in Belfast, within easy reach of both Belfast City and Belfast International Airports.
This is a genuinely technical Project Manager role, overseeing a hardware and embedded software product through its full lifecycle - from concept and requirements, through validation and production readiness, to launch. You will be the key point of contact for the customer, aligning internal hardware and software engineering teams, tracking progress against the plan, and ensuring milestones are hit on a safety-critical, ASPICE-aligned programme.
The Role:
Owning delivery of a hardware and embedded software product programme, end-to-endRunning weekly customer-facing meetings, clarifying scope and timingAligning software and hardware engineering teams internallyTracking progress, risks and issues against the project planSupporting production readiness activities, including samples and line trialsAbout You: Proven track record as a Technical Project Manager or Technical Program Manager, managing hardware and embedded software product developments, from concept through to productionComfortable working to safety-critical / functional safety requirementsConfident engaging directly with customers and cross-functional engineering teamsExperience with ASPICE and/or automotive product development is a nice-to-have, not essentialExperience with Jira and Confluence is usefulWorking Pattern: 1-2 days per week onsite in Belfast, or week on / week offIf you are a Technical Project Manager, Technical Program Manager, or Senior Project Manager with experience delivering hardware and embedded software product developments, apply now or get in touch for a confidential discussion.
