KO2 is recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established instrumentation manufacturer in Sowerby Bridge. Part of a larger international group, the company designs safety-critical products used across a range of industries worldwide. Working within a multi-disciplinary engineering team, you'll support the development of new products from concept through to production, gaining exposure to the full product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify 3D CAD designs for instruments and components
- Produce engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation
- Assist with prototype builds, testing, and design validation
- Support investigations into design improvements and manufacturing issues
- Raise Engineering Change Notes (ECNs) and update technical documentation
- Work closely with engineering, production, and purchasing teams
- Contribute to cost, feasibility, and design reviews
About You
- Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience using 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor desirable)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Practical mindset with an interest in product design and manufacturing
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
