KO2's client is a specialist engineering business based in the Bradford area, developing and designing bespoke electronic equipment for a range of applications. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Electronics Engineer to their engineering team.
This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer with a strong electronics skill set who enjoys working on custom designs from concept through to production.
The Role
- Design and develop bespoke electronic systems and circuits
- Work across the full product lifecycle: requirements, design, prototyping, testing, and production support
- Create schematics, PCB layouts, and technical documentation
- Debug, fault-find, and improve existing designs
- Support products through EMC testing and regulatory approval
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong background in analogue and digital electronics design
- Experience designing bespoke or low-volume electronic products
- Schematic capture and PCB design using Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCad
- Proven experience with EMC and regulatory compliance (e.g. CE, UKCA, FCC)
- Confident with debugging, testing, and fault-finding at board level
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of designs
- Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience
Desirable (but not essential)
- Knowledge of wireless technologies
- Embedded systems and microcontroller development
- Knowledge of sensor systems, signal conditioning, and low-power electronics.
