The Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies used within automated machinery and production systems. You will work closely with controls, manufacturing, and project teams to deliver robust, high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanical design and development of machine structures, enclosures, assemblies, and components
  • Producing detailed 3D models and engineering drawings
  • Supporting designs through prototype, test, and manufacture
  • Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary engineering teams including controls and systems engineers
  • Ensuring designs comply with technical, quality, and relevant industry standards including Machinery Directive requirements
