KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions recruit for electronics and embedded systems businesses in the North of England. KO2's client is a well-established and growing engineering business designing and developing advanced communication systems used within the automotive sector, with a strong focus on safety critical applications. Due to winning a major new order, they are expanding their engineering team and are looking to appoint an Electronics Engineer on a permanent basis.
The role is based onsite in Harrogate five days per week and is easily commutable from Leeds, York, Wetherby etc. This is a very busy environment where you will be working on real products that are actively used within the automotive industry. In return, KO2's client offers a salary of £30,000 to £35,000 alongside large company benefits and long term stability.
You will be involved in the full electronics design lifecycle, working closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team. The work is hands-on and varied, offering the chance to contribute to both new product development and existing designs as production volumes increase.
Key skills and experience for this role include:
- Experience in electronics design, covering both digital and analogue electronics
- Schematic capture and PCB design and development
- Exposure to FPGA based designs including Xilinx devices
- Experience or familiarity with VHDL
- Understanding of communication systems and signal integrity considerations
- Experience supporting designs through test, debug and validation
- Some basic knowledge of embedded software or firmware development would be beneficial
