Base pay range

Rate: Up to £55 per hour (Outside IR35)

Position Details

• Position: Contract Hardware Test Equipment/ ATE Engineer
• Location: Crawley, West Sussex (Onsite, with remote work when suitable)
• Contract Length: 6 months initially

KO2’s client is seeking a Hardware Test Equipment Engineer to build an ATE Test Rig from scratch for testing a low-voltage electronic device post-manufacture.

The electronic device incorporates multiple communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, RS485, RS232 etc.). Your main responsibility will be designing and building the Hardware Test Rig to test both the controller and its communication interfaces.

You’ll work closely with a Software Test Engineer, who will develop the test software to drive the rig you create.

Key Skills Required:

• Development of ATE Test Rigs
• Strong electronics knowledge
• Ability to collaborate with a Software Test Engineer
• Experience with National Instruments Hardware
• Familiarity with Test Fixtures / Bed of Nails testing
• Hands-on skills in crimping cables, soldering, and assembly
