Manchester | Up to £45,000 | Hybrid WFH – 2 Days from Home a Week

KO2’s client, an industry leader in the design and development of cutting-edge automated electronic and software solutions, is looking to hire a Hardware Test Engineer to join their highly skilled engineering team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse range of innovative products used across industrial, commercial, and high-tech sectors. You\’ll be responsible for hands-on testing of bespoke hardware systems, ensuring high standards of reliability and performance before deployment.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and execute manual test procedures for hardware systems and components
• Work closely with design and development teams to identify and resolve issues
• Maintain test documentation and reports to support product validation
• Support compliance and certification processes
• Contribute to continuous improvements in test strategies and hardware verification

What You’ll Need:

• Proven experience in manual testing of electronic hardware
• Strong understanding of hardware debugging, fault-finding and validation
• Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and datasheets
• Application software and device level testing experience
• Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Bonus Points For:

• A broad understanding of electronics including the ability to read circuit diagrams.
• Exposure to EMC, CE, or safety compliance testing
• Experience with firmware or embedded level software testing.
