KO2's client is looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team developing advanced motor drive technology for a wide range of applications. This is a hands-on role focused on embedded software development for power electronics and motor control systems. You'll be working closely with hardware and R&D engineers on the design, development and optimisation of high-performance control software used in real-world products. The company is involved in technically challenging development work and is looking for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering problems in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities:
  • Developing embedded software for motor drive and control systems
  • Working on real-time control applications and low-level firmware
  • Collaborating with electronics, systems and R&D engineers
  • Supporting the development and testing of power electronics systems
  • Contributing to the full development lifecycle from concept through to release
Experience required:
  • Strong embedded C/STM32 development experience
  • Experience working with motor control systems or motor drives
  • Understanding of power electronics and real-time embedded systems
  • Experience working close to hardware
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary engineering environment

The working arrangement is typically 3 days per week onsite and 2 days from home. Some weeks may be fully remote depending on project requirements, although there may also be occasions where the work requires additional onsite presence.
