Based in a stunning beachside location near St Ives, our client designs and builds rugged electronics for demanding industrial environments - with a client list that includes household names across Europe and the USA. This is a genuine opportunity to work on real-world products where reliability matters, alongside an experienced engineering team who'll give you a thorough, hands-on handover of the systems already in place.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Troubleshooting, maintaining, and quality-controlling existing electronic systems
  • Building deep working knowledge of established products through direct handover from an experienced Electronics Engineer
  • Working across both digital and analogue systems, with a strong focus on analogue nuance
  • Supporting PCB-level and serial communications work as part of day-to-day engineering

What We're Looking For

  • Technical background: Solid grounding in digital and analogue electronics, including Ohm's Law and op-amps
  • PCB design and layout experience
  • Familiarity with serial communications (I2C, SPI, UART)
  • Microchip PIC development experience is a bonus, not essential
  • Exposure to closed-loop radio communications (e.g. LoRa) is helpful but not essential
  • Personal profile: A degree in Electronic Engineering
  • Hands-on electronics experience - from industry, academic projects, or personal/hobbyist work
  • Industry experience, including in a small business setting, would strengthen your application
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to learn
  • Able to work on-site full time (note: no relocation budget provided, though candidates have relocated for this role before)

If you're a motivated engineer with a genuine grounding in electronics and an interest in real-world, rugged product design, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today with an up-to-date CV.
