We are excited to be seeking an experienced and highly capable senior leader to join our team and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of our school. Based in either Auckland or Christchurch, you will be responsible for leading our Enrolled School, overseeing the education of approximately 120, Year 0-13+ students. This position will require travel between Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
At the heart of this role is a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning across all campuses hosting our enrolled students. You will lead and monitor curriculum delivery, ensuring consistent, evidence-informed practice that improves learner achievement and wellbeing. Through ongoing review and evaluation, you will drive continuous improvement.
You will bring strength in data-informed leadership, analysing achievement, attendance, and wellbeing data to identify priorities, evaluate impact, and guide strategic action. A key focus is building capability. You will grow staff practice through targeted PLD and coaching, support middle leaders, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
You will ensure effective systems and compliance, maintain processes that support teaching and operations, and meet legislative requirements. With a strong focus on student wellbeing and engagement, you will lead strategies to improve attendance, participation, and positive, restorative practices. You will build purposeful partnerships with whānau and agencies, communicating clearly about learner progress and success.
As part of the senior leadership team, you will ensure strategic coherence, aligning curriculum, systems, and leadership practices to achieve school goals. The successful applicant will be supported to develop the knowledge and skills to operate effectively within Deaf Education over time. This may include a study award, supported by a 0.3 release component.
