About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and proactive Cross College Technician/Driver to join our Facilities team. This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and smooth operation of our College sites. You will play a key part in ensuring our buildings, grounds, and equipment are safe, clean, and well maintained, while also undertaking driving and delivery duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general maintenance and repair work across college buildings and grounds
  • Perform routine servicing, cleaning, and upkeep of equipment
  • Undertake porterage duties, including moving furniture and equipment
  • Support internal building alterations and minor improvement works
  • Maintain site cleanliness, including internal and external litter picking
  • Drive College vehicles for deliveries and transport as required
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety regulations
  • Contribute to planned maintenance procedures and improvement initiatives
  • Work collaboratively across multiple College sites
  • Complete all required training and development activities

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Practical, hands-on, and confident carrying out maintenance work
  • Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Organised with good time management skills
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness
  • Experience in general maintenance or facilities support
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Basic understanding of health and safety practices
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
