Are you looking for a management role within Learner Support or in further education? If so, this could be the role for you! St Helens & Knowsley Community College are seeking to recruit a Learner Support Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and development of staff, services, and support for students within Learner Support. This includes actively contributing to service‑wide developments, projects, and initiatives, and providing guidance to the Head of School on operational and strategic issues relating to the management and support for learners with additional needs and advising on best practice.

Ideal candidate must have:

  • Experience of working in an FE College, Sixth Form or a Secondary School
  • Experience as ALS manager/co‑ordinator or a SENCO
  • Extensive experience of identifying and working with various types of learning barriers and establishing effective support plans
  • Experience of cooperating with local authorities, external agencies and of working with parents and carers
  • Experience of managing a pressurised and demanding role and working according to tight deadlines and budgets
