Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including barista-made coffee.
- Take customer orders, operate the till, and handle payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with food safety requirements.
- Restock and rotate food and drink items.
- Provide excellent customer service with a helpful and approachable manner.
- Assist with light food preparation and serving.
- Support occasional events or meetings with buffet/refreshment provision.
- Open/close the café in line with procedures (as required).

Based at the heart of North Mersey Business Centre, Mersey Brew is a growing independent café committed to serving quality coffee and warm hospitality to our tenants, visitors and the wider Knowsley community. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced but friendly environment and takes pride in delivering great service, consistently.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Confidence using a coffee machine and making espresso-based drinks (or willingness to learn).
- Great communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
- Attention to detail and cleanliness.
- A positive "can-do" attitude and willingness to be flexible.
Qualifications:
- Food hygiene certificate (Level 2) desirable - or willingness to complete upon appointment.
