The role works closely with children, young people, parents and carers to offer high quality professional advice and support, co-ordinating multi-agency statutory assessments for children and young people identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities.
- Extensive work experience with SEND in education, social care, or a partner statutory/voluntary setting.
- Experience co-ordinating multi-agency statutory assessment processes and producing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Practical understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, relevant legislation (e.g., Children and Families Act 2014, Education Act 2002), and a graduated approach to learning needs.
At Knowsley Council we will consider requests for flexible working. For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, part-time. There is a requirement for you to attend your work base at least 2 days per week β Mondays and Wednesdays.
