The IT Service forms part of the Resources Directorate and delivers technical support across a wide range of Council services. The team plays a key role in ensuring staff have access to reliable systems, devices and infrastructure that support essential services to residents.

We are looking to recruit a Mobile IT Officer to join our IT team. This is a varied and hands‑on role where you will provide on‑site support across Council locations, resolving issues that cannot be handled remotely and ensuring services remain operational. When not undertaking site visits, you will work with the on‑site IT Support Team, managing service desk tickets, resolving incidents and supporting day‑to‑day IT operations.

You will have experience working in an IT support environment, with knowledge of PC and laptop hardware, Microsoft systems and a basic understanding of networking. You will bring strong problem‑solving skills, a customer‑focused approach and the ability to manage your workload effectively in a fast‑paced environment. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential as travel forms part of the role.
