Position: Casual Swim Teacher level 2
Shift: Early evening between Mon - Fri 15.00 - 18.45 / Sat 8.00am – 11.45am (actual shifts TBC)
Working Pattern: Evenings/part time/weekends and will require an Enhanced DBS Check.
Volair is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our highly successful swimming team, delivering Volair’s Swim Programme at Huyton Leisure Centre.
Role and Responsibilities
- As a Volair Swimming Teacher, you must be passionate about helping people of all ages and abilities learn to swim.
- Develop and deliver engaging swim lessons tailored to individual student needs and skill levels.
- Instruct proper swimming techniques, water safety procedures, and pool etiquette.
- Provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to help students build confidence and achieve their goals.
- Ensure a safe and fun learning environment for all swimmers.
- Maintain accurate attendance and progress records.
- Engage, coach, and inspire our members of all ages and abilities to achieve their swimming goals.
- Be a positive role model with a fun, engaging approach to lessons.
- Be part of a motivated team fully embracing our company values and standards.
- Support the varied programme of activities and sessions.
Qualifications
- Strong swimming ability and a proven understanding of proper swimming techniques.
- Minimum of Required Swim Instruction Certification (e.g., ASA Level 2 Swimming Teaching Certificate, STA Level 2 Certificate in Swimming Teaching).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patience skills.
- Ability to effectively engage and motivate students in a pool setting.
- Fun, energetic personality and a passion for swimming!
