The post will be based within the Strategic Housing team which is responsible for homelessness, allocations, housing assistance, affordable warmth, affordable homes development and housing intelligence.

Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for developing housing strategy and policy as well as supporting the operational housing functions which include housing allocation, homelessness and housing renewal.
Qualifications:
  • Experience of working as part of a team and a track record of working independently to achieve service objectives within agreed timescales.
  • A commitment to developing their knowledge and experience to enable them to effectively meet service objectives.
  • Educated to degree level and/or an equivalent qualification in housing, or demonstrate suitable professional experience.

At Knowsley Council we will consider requests for flexible working. For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, part-time. There is a requirement for you to attend your work base at least two days per week but this may be more subject to work priorities.
