The Governors of Alt Bridge wish to appoint a new team of teaching assistants to provide immediate pastoral response and support to students with Special Educational Needs who may exhibit distressed behaviours within our setting.
The successful applicants will be able to implement appropriate de-escalation approaches and take appropriate actions to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of each child who is provided with support.

A mission
You’ll be working with individual children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and associated conditions, learning difficulties and sensory needs. You’ll be there to help them learn, form positive relationships, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. You will need to be resilient, dedicated and approachable.
As a Teaching Assistant at Alt Bridge school, you’ll get all the support you need to succeed. Your colleagues are experts but we are also all learners, every day and with a keenness to reflect and develop ourselves. A strong provision
Alt Bridge School provides an exceptional offer to students with SEND across Knowsley. The offer includes specialists on-site such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapies and Autism specialist teachers, all of whom contribute to staff development as well as individual packages of support for learners. Our outcomes for students are excellent, some achieving GCSE level and all leaving Alt Bridge with a range of other qualifications and awards. We invest heavily in mental health and wellbeing for all and that includes our students and our staff.
