The Governors of St Anne’s Catholic Primary School wish to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant and Mid-Day Supervisor to support Maternity cover.
The Role – Teaching AssistantWe are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to support children’s learning and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities- Lead small group activities to enhance learning outcomes.
- Assist in classroom management and set up learning materials.
- Help deliver creative lessons to pupils across the curriculum.
- Foster pupil independence, self‑expression, and social/emotional growth.
- Passionate about working with children and supporting education.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with a flexible, proactive approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Candidates should:
- Take a proactive approach in leading our Opal Play activities at lunchtime.
- Be enthusiastic about working with children from 4-11 years.
- Act as a positive role model.
- Organise and oversee children during indoor and outdoor play times and in the lunch hall.
- Be energetic and imaginative.
All candidates must be prepared to take a full and active part in all aspects of school life and support the ethos of the school.
