We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard‑working, extremely organised and self‑motivated professional with construction knowledge to join the Building Projects Team within the Assets Service.
As an experienced professional you will be responsible for:
- Delivery of a range of projects of varying sizes and complexities, including major refurbishment projects on public buildings or large‑scale extensions to increase capacity in schools.
- Managing building surveying commissions, including surveys, dilapidation advice and construction projects for new builds, refurbishment and maintenance works.
- Preparation of building surveys, CAD drawings and detailed survey information; producing specifications, schedules of works and cost projections.
- Undertaking site visits and producing final accounts.
- Writing detailed reports, following all statutory requirements and ensuring CDM legislation is adhered to; providing H&S advice to clients.
- Providing regular project updates and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
The role requires a senior professional capable of versatile and robust management of multiple concurrent construction projects and leading a wide range of projects across the Council’s portfolio.
