Knowsley Council is seeking an experienced and committed Senior SEND Caseworker to join our Education and Inclusion Service and play a key leadership role within our SEND team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise a group of SEND Caseworkers, providing day‑to‑day leadership, professional guidance and quality assurance of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Manage a complex caseload, act as a point of escalation for disputes and complaints, and prepare cases for mediation and tribunal where required.
- Ensure statutory processes are delivered to a high standard, within timescales, and in line with legislation and best practice.
- Deputise for the SEND Team Manager, contribute to service improvement, and support team development through supervision, training and performance management.
- Work closely with children, young people, families and multi‑agency partners.
