Working Pattern: Monday to Friday + every other Saturday
Purpose of the role: The Workshop Engineer is responsible for the effective maintenance of the Knowles Logistics fleet. You will also be responsible for the daily reactive and proactive maintenance of the Fleet taking direction from the Fleet Manager. Please note that candidates must be a commutable distance from Wimblington to be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain different types of vehicles, such as lorries and vans.
- Perform restorative and preventative work on all aspects of the vehicles, test new vehicles to find faults and carry out routine servicing.
- Inspect vehicles to MOT standard.
- Diagnose faults and rectify all types of faults.
- Service and repair customer vehicles or components using appropriate equipment and tools in a safe and economical manner.
- Maintain current product knowledge and attend training courses as required.
- Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises.
- Carry out roadside assistance.
- Complete all paperwork as necessary.
- Ensure all aspects of H.
