Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Main Purpose: This role manages the quality, safety, and health side of the business, ensuring systems are coordinated so that products and services meet the highest quality standards. The role ensures working conditions are safe for all employees, visitors, and sub-contractors, while leading the management team in compliance.
Key Accountabilities:
- Safety & Risk Management:
- Safety Systems: Ensure safe management systems are in place (Method statements, SSOW reviews, site inspections, and planned maintenance).
- Legislation: Advise line management and implement new SHEQ legislation, rules, and company standards.
- Risk Assessment: Facilitate all forms of risk assessment (COSHH, manual handling, fire, etc.) and act as the final authority on specialist responses.
- Environment: Work toward ISO:14001 (by Dec 2027) and support the 'road to net zero' project and sustainability data.
- Accreditations: Manage preparations for annual H&S and Quality audits, including BRC, TASCC, and SEDEX.
- Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits and manage the internal audit team.
- Continuous Improvement: Use customer non-conformance data to drive improvements and keep the quality manual up to date.
- Engagement: Communicate standards through leadership meetings, inductions, and safety training to adopt a safe culture.
- Investigation: Investigate all non-driving related accidents and report to regulatory bodies.
- GDPR: Ensure data protection compliance, maintaining the Register of Processing Activities (ROPA) and Data Processing Impact Assessments (DPIA).
Accountable KPI:
- Audits: Management of audits ensuring compliance of KTL and passing all audits 100%
- Accidents: Recording, Reporting and action plans completed for all accidents 100%
- Prevention: Ensure all Risk Assessments are completed annually in line with legislation 100%
Must Haves (Qualifications & Skills):
- NEBOSH Certificate and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a SHEQ Role.
- Fire prevention and risk management certificate or equivalent experience.
- Management systems qualification (BRC and ISO 9001) and ability to interpret SHEQ legislation.
- Internal auditor qualification and experience managing audits to accreditation.
- Advanced Excel skills, report writing, and document management.
- Full driving licence and own transport.
- Experience in investigations, problem-solving, and partnership building.
